I have stayed here 3 times over the last few years and it’s consistently because there are always problems. The hotel is dated and equipment is starting to fail. Last time the tv’s weren’t working hotel wide, this time my safe and telephone weren’t working. At almost £200 a night I expect more. If you want to have access to the terminal there isn’t much choice. I complained and to be fair I was upgraded to a better room. It also has god awful showers. I gave up trying to use it in the end it had so many different taps. Wi-Fi is not the best either with intermittent cover. I try and avoid flights that are too early so I don’t have to stay at this hotel. I am a frequent traveller and stay in hotels regularly. This hotel does not reflect the star rating in my humble opinion.

Extremely clean and well-maintained, staff are very polite and helpful. The access to Heathrow is extremely close and handy. Small fridge and safe also in the room. The window glazing was so thick we couldn't hear any flights. The only downsides were the hotel room was very warm and only duvets, no sheets which made sleeping quite hot, and the pillows and mattress were very hard. Also, there were limited supply of Gluten/dairy free breakfasts on offer.

I used the Spa at the Sofitel to break up a 30 hour trip that included 6 hours at Heathrow. Wow. It was a game changer. From the booking help from Rajmeet to the deliciously perfect massage and facial from Anxela, I felt pampered and respected. The hydropool, sauna and steam rooms are just the way to spend a couple of relaxing hours.

The hotel itself was lovely Rooms very spacious and modern The hotel food however in the main restaurant really let it down. I ordered the lamb and waiter didn’t ask how I liked it cooked - so it came rare (not pink but rare and cold in middle) The waiter then disappeared and after a long day I just decided to eat it - don’t get it wrong it was edible but a real let down.

BA cancelled our flight to Miami last minute and offered us no assistance or accommodation, we decided to check in at the Sofitel for an overnight stay whilst we tried to arrange another flight the following day, my wife and I was superbly assisted by Aartee, we explained what had happened to us and she offered us a lovely club room which was ready and waiting for us. Maybe BA should take a leaf out of the Sofitel Heathrow hand book on how to look after customers….thank you Aartee and rest of the staff.
